Tires without air tubs have many advantages: you can drive with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no air chamber, the risk of drilling also decreases. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for assembly with the sealant than other "Tubeless Ready" tires.

The TR tire heel is completely covered by a layer of rubber, just like a real tubeless UST tire. This means that tubeless assembly on all circles with standard dimensions is already successful with the first inflation and with little liquid. Maxxis MTB "normal" MTBs can also be tubeless with sealing, such as other manufacturers' tires, because the carcass fabrics are very dense. However, only the new Maxxis TR models are officially approved for tubeless assembly and guaranteed by Maxxis.
