Technologies

Maxxspeed

The new Maxxspeed (2023) is our top rubber compound for XC races. It is a compound with a high silice content that reduces rolling resistance and improves traction on the wet. Compared to the previous 3C Maxxspeed, the new mix has a rolling resistance of about 25% lower in the laboratory (using the same design as the tread, the same structure and the same pressure as the tire). In a real context, our tests show that the new compound can save up to a minute during a 90 -minute race.

Exo

Exo is a material resistant to the cuts and abrasions added to the sides of many Maxxis tires for Mountain Bike and Gravel. This dense plot fabric is light and highly flexible, and guarantees that the pneumatic performance is not compromised. Choose L'Exo Protection for a longer duration for gravel, xc and light trail routes.

Tubeless Ready

Tubeless Ready tires offer the cyclist many advantages: the possibility of using lower air pressure, which improve traction, a lower rolling resistance compared to a tire with air chamber and a lesser chance of drilling thanks to the absence of the inner tube. Tubeless Ready tires are characterized by the abbreviation "TR" on the side.
Tubeless Ready tires must be mounted on rims compatible with tubeless and require Luse of a liquid sealant to maintain the pressure. The liquid sealing have L'further advantage of sealing small drips. Make sure to regularly check the sealant and replace it if necessary, because over time it drys out.
Liquid sealing must be used only in the following types of tires: road tubeless, tubular and tubeless Ready. L'Use of liquid sealants in any other Maxxis tire invalidates the guarantee.
