Technologies

Optimized contact surface
L'Pedal contact area has substantial importance. It is part of the identity of the brand and is the manufacturer's trademark.
The contact area of the new Keo 2 Max retains the robust lines that L'They made famous. Its width has been increased up to 60 mm to offer a wider platform and better stability during ride. This creates an upper feeling and unattainable comfort, nowhere to be found in the other pedals.
In addition, the transmission of power was optimized thanks to the exploitable surface enhanced up to 500 mm² (+25% more). The shape of the stainless steel plaque was reviewed to match the body and to keep constant L'contact area - and consequently the performance - regardless of the position of the feet (also linked to the degrees of freedom of the turkish used).
By increasing the contact surface of the pedals without adding weight it has been improved L'index "power to weight" (power/weight ratio), making this product even better and thus allowing you to express you at its best.

Profile of the improved pivot
The profile of the pivot of the new Keo 2 Max was also optimized. Built around a oversized chromoly+axis, it provides a pivot with an internal sphere bearing and a needles placed below the contact surface to better manage the load and distribute it in the optimal way.
A new component has been added between these two bearings. The washer, first used to maintain the needle bearing in place, has been replaced with a conical spacer. This technical solution reduces L'Attritus, increases fluidity and consequently allows to limit the geometric tolerances of the pedal's body and the relative game. LThe set of all these improvements has been designed to guarantee without compromise reliability.
