Description

Optimized for the rear wheel, this round tire balances stability, grip, braking traction and rolling resistance. Ideal to push you on land in any condition.

Characteristics

    • Soft mix: the balance between adherence and rolling resistance for use cases focused on gravity. High level of adherence with reasonable rolling resistance. Possibility to optimize the rolling properties of the rear wheel on the DH bike or to have the optimal combination for the enduro or trail.

    • Enduro Carcass: resistant structure of the single layer carcass with Apex to prevent drips.

    • Tubeless Ready: the carcass structure is robust and resistant to the damage and penetration of foreign objects. The result: versatility, reduced weight and captivating design. In addition, tires made with this technology can also be used in the tube.

    • E25: suitable for e-bikes.

Technologies

Blackchili
The Blackchili compound is produced exclusively in the Continental plant in Korbach, Germany, and combines the most recent polymers with particles of blackphaly and specially developed filling materials. Both cars and bicycles benefit from this technology. Mounted on a bicycle, the tires with Blackchili offer cyclists excellent reliability, both in downhill rides on a mountain bike and in time tests on a racing bike.

Apex
Used for years successfully in car tires, his transition to bicycle tires was only a matter of time. A natural rubber profile, inserted among the layers of the carcass at the base of the tire, stiffens the hips, minimizing the twist of the tire due to the high transverse loads. More rigid hips that, in turn, reduce the risk of dripping and prevent the pneumatic from sliding from the circle. At low pressure, adherence has improved without becoming too slow in the curve. The risk of drilling decreases considerably.
