Hyperon Ultra is the new Campagnolo wheel designed for the most refined and demanding cyclists. A wheel that embodies true product perfection, the fruit of Campagnolo's unmatched experience.

To create this gem, we brought together the knowledge of our engineers and the most experienced testers, along with feedback from professional cyclists. The result is a new set of road bike wheels with a perfect mix of features: lightweight construction, unmatched responsiveness, and superior handling.

We pushed the H.U.L.C. molding technology and C-LUX finish to the extreme to make the Hyperon Ultra beautiful to look at and light on the scale.

With the goal of enhancing riding sensations and cyclist performance, we achieved unmatched responsiveness thanks to the new Head-2-Bay system, created to have a high-precision fit between the spoke head and the hub, on which the ultra-smooth CULT bearings are applied, along with a new lightweight N3W body.

To make it manageable, we relied on Campagnolo's historic know-how by applying the famous Aero-MoMag technology to the Hyperon Ultra wheels as well: a choice that brings aerodynamic benefits and offers improved aesthetics. The rims integrate the proven 2-Way Fit technology with the unperforated upper bridge. Their special single-joint construction guarantees and further increases the stiffness of the wheel system.

With a wide 21mm internal channel and a 37mm profile, Hyperon Ultra is a wheel that meets the needs of the most demanding cyclists and enhances the aesthetics of every bike.

Main Advantages

Lightweight construction

  • The rims of the new Hyperon Ultra are manufactured with the latest Campagnolo H.U.L.C. technology, the result of over 25 years of experience in carbon molding. This technology ensures dimensional optimization of the rims, the ratio between carbon fiber and resin, contributing to increased stiffness and strength.
  • The C-LUX mirror finish creates a surface so smooth that it does not require painting, resulting in weight savings. The scientific precision of C-LUX also helps create the safest possible seat for tubeless tires, increasing their seal and ease of mounting/dismounting, as well as reducing the risk of damage to the tire beads.

Unmatched responsiveness

  • With the Head-2-Bay system, the high-precision coupling between the spoke head and the hub has been optimized to prevent the elastic deformation of the spokes. This innovative technology introduces a high load management system to reduce the risk of damage, ensuring perfectly balanced spoke tension and the correct transfer of the cyclist's power to the road.
  • The N3W Light body is designed to accommodate 11, 12, and 13-speed cassettes with sprockets starting at 9, 10, and 11 teeth. The lightweight design, combined with the high smoothness of CULT bearings and extreme torsional stiffness, offers maximum performance control.
  • An acronym for Ceramic Ultimate Level Technology, CULT bearings offer a significant improvement over all others. The key to the extraordinary performance of CULT bearings lies in the use of the highest quality materials in a hybrid construction.
  • The ceramic balls, with a high degree of roundness and resistance, rotate inside polymer cages on wear-resistant stainless steel races, maximizing the efficiency and durability of the bearings, requiring at most periodic cleaning and light lubrication with synthetic oil.

Superior handling

  • Our Aero Mo-Mag technology takes aerodynamics to the next level. The internal seats for the nipples, made of glass fiber reinforced polymer, ensure perfect alignment with the spokes, reducing stress on system components. The innovative construction allows the wheels to be lighter and optimizes their aerodynamics.
  • The rear rim profile is asymmetrical to allow superior stiffness control and optimal tension management, ensuring maximum safety and handling in every corner.
  • Campagnolo's single-joint rim construction reduces the number of potential weak points by having only one fusion point compared to the four normally used in the industry. The rim is therefore extremely stiff and, thanks to the use of aerospace-quality carbon, incredibly strong and damage-resistant.
